**About the Role**

You will play a vital support role within surgical teams.

Theatre Assistant Team Leader responsibilities includes working as a member of the clinical team to prepare the theatre environment for the scheduled procedures as follows:

- Transferring and positioning patient
- respecting and ensuring safety according to the hospital policies, procedures and legislative guidelines
- handling of general, toxic and clinical waste
- assisting surgeons, anaesthetist and nursing staff with preparation of the department needs
- monitoring and resupply of stock and equipment
- leading by example, mentoring and facilitating education for the team
- rostering
- monitoring team members skill development and annual performance reviews
- effective team member of the senior perioperative management team

**About You**

You will possess strong communication skills and a desire to gain a solid understanding of hospital procedures. As a motivated and positive individual, you will exhibit a keen attention to detail.

**You will also bring**:

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong understanding of Infection Control principles
- Ability to work effective within a team environment and independently as required
- Excellent patient and customer service focus
- Be available for a range of shifts across a 7-day rotating roster.

**Remuneration**:
A base hourly rate from $36.76 and superannuation, based on qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances (NSW EA Level 3).

**Desirable Requirements**:

- Certificate III in Operating Theatre Technician or Certificate III in Health Services Assistant
- Prior experience in a similar role

**Essential Requirements**
- Over 3 years previous experience as a Theatre Assistant/Technicial/Orderly
- _Must _provide a_ _**National Police Check** conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a **Working-With-Children** check and **proof of immunisation** against infectious diseases.
