About the Role:

Australian Unity is seeking an experienced and compassionate Home Care Professional to join our team. As a Personal Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to our aged care customers, enabling them to live independently and remain within their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal Care: assist customers with activities of daily living tasks such as showering, dressing, medication management, assisting with mobility and therapy goals
  • Domestic assistance: light cleaning, laundry, meal preparation and general chores around the house
  • Social support: transportation to appointments & social outings, shopping and providing emotional support and companionship
  • Administration: reporting and progress notes

Requirements:

  • Current Australian Driver's License and ownership of a reliable insured vehicle
  • Fully vaccinated (2) for Covid-19
  • 12 months+ experience and/or completed a Cert III in Individual Support / Disability / completed 1st year of a Nursing degree
  • Flexibility to work Monday to Friday within the hours of 7am - 6pm
  • Live within 15-20km radius to enjoy a convenient commute and support your local community
  • Ability to commit to our PAID 2 week (Monday to Friday) 'The Orientation Program' training and induction program when you first commence
