We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and empathy towards people with disabilities.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering quality services that align with client and organisational expectations. You will engage well with clients, promote independence, and enhance the quality of life for those we support.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized care plans in consultation with clients and their families or guardians.
- Assist clients with personal care, meal preparation, feeding, and medication management.
- Encourage participation in social activities to promote social interaction among clients.
- Accompany clients on outings or appointments when required.
- Actively engage with clients to build their capabilities and accomplish their goals.
- Maintain accurate records regarding clients' health status.
Requirements:
- Certificate III/IV in Disability Services is highly desirable.
- At least 2 years' prior experience working in disability services is desirable.
- A current valid driver's license, NDIS Worker Screening, Blue Card, CPR, and First Aid Certificate are mandatory requirements.
