Renewable Energy Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Reneawble Energy Specialist to join our team and help us shape the future of energy in NSW.

  • As a Renewable Energy Specialist, you will be at the forefront of the renewable energy transition for NSW, working on state significant projects such as solar farms, big batteries, wind farms, pumped hydro and transmission lines.
  • You will have the opportunity to assess the merits of a range of state significant energy projects in line with best practice frameworks and benchmark assessment outcome turnaround times.
  • You will produce high quality work on a wide range of planning matters, including the preparation of well written, accurate and timely reports and effective conditions of consent.
About the Role:

This is an exciting and challenging role that requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to navigate complex challenges and adapt to evolving situations.

As a Renewable Energy Specialist, you will have the opportunity to foster strong relationships with stakeholders and ensure alignment with diverse stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

You will have demonstrated knowledge of relevant environmental assessment and planning legislation and processes, as well as proven experience in stakeholder engagement, negotiation and project management.

What You Will Bring to the Role:
  • Expertise in Renewable Energy: A degree in environmental science or management, planning, engineering or other relevant discipline is essential.
  • Travel and Driver's License: You must be willing to travel and hold a minimum Class C Driver's License.

The Successful Candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with team members. They will have the ability to translate complex technical information into easy to understand material.
