Apprentice Fabricator Role

The Apprentice Fabricator position is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a workshop environment.

Key responsibilities include supporting the Workshop and Fleet team with fabrication and welding activities. You will also have the chance to develop practical skills in welding, cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components using various tools and machinery.

Required Qualifications and Skills
  • A Certificate III in Engineering, Fabrication course at North Wollongong TAFE or equivalent qualification.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be open to on-the-job training and guidance.
Program Details and Benefits
  • Temporary full-time employment up to 4 years.
  • 38 hours per week with access to a 9 Day Fortnight roster.
  • On-the-job training; compulsory course costs are paid by Council; approved leave to attend TAFE; tool allowance.
  • Opportunity to work in a values-led and progressive team environment.
Pre-Employment Requirements
  • Pre-placement medical examination may be required.
  • General Construction Induction Card (White Card) is necessary prior to commencement.
