We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water Services Manager to join our team at Inverell Shire Council. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for the overall management of our Water Services Branch, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our community.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Water Services Branch, including water and sewerage systems, treatment processes, and asset management.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our water services, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Lead and manage a team of professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects and programs.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and coordination of water services with other council functions.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and reports to ensure the financial sustainability of our water services.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and emerging trends, applying this knowledge to improve our water services and operations.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Water Services, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar or related role, with a strong background in water services management.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality results, with a focus on customer service and community engagement.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including SafeWork NSW and Local Government (State) Award 2023.
We offer a competitive remuneration package, ranging from $155,000.00 to $165,000.00 gross per annum, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
