David Jones Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Project Management Office Manager to join our Transformation Office. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering strategic initiatives and business projects that drive our company's transformation agenda.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead Transformation Program Planning: Collaborate with our Executive Committee and leadership team to develop and implement a comprehensive transformation program plan, aligned with our strategic planning cycle.
  2. Manage Project Management Team: Oversee the Project Management team to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with our PMO project management methodology and governance processes.
  3. Ensure Project Delivery: Ensure projects meet the parameters defined in their business case, including scope, objectives, budget, timeline, and benefits.
  4. Develop Project Management Methodology: Work with the project management team to develop and maintain project management methodology, tools, and templates that align with our program framework.
  5. Risk and Issue Management: Collaborate with the project management team to track and manage program/portfolio risks, issues, key decisions, and project interdependencies.
  6. Stakeholder Communication: Escalate program/portfolio issues, risks, and key decisions to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
  7. Resource Allocation: Work with functional managers and project managers to allocate resources effectively.
  8. Project Support and Mentoring: Provide project management support, mentoring, and training to project teams.
  9. Project Closure and Review: Oversee the post-implementation review and closure of projects relevant to the program of work.
  10. Policy and Process Development: Develop and improve project management office policies, templates, and processes.
  11. Project Evaluation and Improvement: Continuously evaluate projects to ensure they meet company standards, adhere to budgets, and meet deadlines.

Requirements

  • Project Management Certification: Possess a project management certification, such as PMI or Prince 2.
  • Agile Methodology Certification: Hold an Agile methodology certification, preferably.
  • Program Management Experience: Proven experience managing large and complex programs of work in high-pace environments.
  • Team Leadership: Experience leading high-performing teams.
  • Commercial Mindset: Possess a commercial mindset with a customer focus.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Leadership Skills: Possess strong leadership skills.
