The Medicare Mental Health Centres are an important part of Australia's reformed mental health and wellbeing system. They provide a free, safe and welcoming space for individuals to access mental health advice, supports and services.
Our Services
The services in Dubbo and Bathurst are tailored to the needs of the community in regional NSW. They provide a combination of peer-led recovery and clinical support, creating a supportive environment for individuals experiencing psychological distress.

Role Overview
As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide focused psychological strategies tailored to meet the individual needs of people accessing the service within a community-based mental health care setting.
You will work collaboratively across health service networks to plan and coordinate individualised psychosocial interventions to meet the needs of people with mental health issues based on a case formulation approach.
Requirements
- Must have one of the following qualifications: General AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Mental Health Occupational Therapist OR Mental Health Nurse OR AASW registration as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker.
- Demonstrated comprehensive level of knowledge, expertise and skill; specifically, Brief Intervention Models of Care Commitment to professional development and willingness to participate in a continuous learning environment.
- Well-developed judgment and evaluation skills demonstrating a working understanding assessment and care planning.
- Sound understanding of the public, non-government and private mental health systems and programs and associated non-mental health programs in a community setting.
- Ideally demonstrated experience in providing alcohol and other drugs (AOD) counselling and support.
