About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapeutic Youth Worker to join our team in the Dubbo region. As a Therapeutic Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people who have experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on assistance, nurturing, and guidance to individuals between the ages of 12 and 17 living in our Therapeutic Care homes.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to support the unique needs and goals of each young person.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive support and care for each young person.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to young people, promoting their emotional well-being and resilience.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment that fosters positive relationships and a sense of belonging among young people.
Requirements
  • A relevant Diploma or bachelor's degree level qualification in a field such as child and youth care, social work, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting children and young people who have experienced trauma, have a disability, and/or exhibit pain-based behaviors of concern.
  • A current Provide First Aid (HLTAID003 or HLTAID011) & CPR (HLTAID001 or HLTAID009) Certificate/s or willingness to obtain.
  • A current Driver's Licence.
