Role Overview

Life Without Barriers is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapeutic Youth Worker to join our team in the Dubbo region. As a Therapeutic Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people between the ages of 12 and 17 who have experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on assistance, nurturing, and guidance to individuals in our Therapeutic Care homes
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote the well-being and resilience of young people
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive support and care
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment that fosters growth and development

Requirements

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience and qualifications
  • Experience supporting children and young people with complex needs, ideally in a residential care setting
  • Current Provide First Aid and CPR certificates, or willingness to obtain
  • Current driver's license
