Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Officer to join our project team and contribute to delivering a critical infrastructure project. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring onsite implementation of the environmental management system requirements, measuring environmental compliance, and driving high performance and environmental awareness on the project.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Implement the requirements set out within the Project's Environmental Management Plan on site
  2. Taking part in environmental audits on site (internal and 3rd Party)
  3. Weekly Environmental inspections on the Project
  4. Liaise with project teams to ensure Georgiou environmental systems are being implemented
  5. Providing support on environmental aspects such as ecology, waste management, noise, vibration and water, including the monitoring of these items.

You will also have opportunities to provide technical support on significant environmental aspects, manage multiple environmental consultants, and liaise with the client and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:
  • Relevant qualifications in environmental science or related discipline
  • Similar on-site experience
  • Experience in environmental management on civil infrastructure projects or equivalent
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001, and Federal and State Environment Acts & Regulations.
