As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will support the Executive in providing strategic advice to governments and contribute to the management and direction setting of departments.

You will oversee the development, implementation, and delivery of major government initiatives; participate in departmental and whole-of-government forums; and contribute to corporate leadership and capability development for departments, including building high-performing teams.

As a digital strategy lead, you will work closely with policy and program areas to support the work of departments and have a strong track record of innovation and transformation using data and evidence to drive decision-making and reform.

You will engage and consult with diverse stakeholders to build consensus and ownership and deliver solutions and outcomes across diverse areas.

The role requires:

  • Leading the development and implementation of digital transformation strategies ensuring alignment with organisational objectives, enhanced user experience, and improved operational efficiency
  • Implementing technology-driven system reforms to modernise legacy systems, enhance service delivery, and build a more agile IT infrastructure
  • Managing and leading teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and professional development
  • Overseeing digital transformation efforts, ensuring smooth transitions from legacy systems to modern solutions and empowering staff to embrace new technologies
  • Cultivating strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the digital strategy aligns with organisational and whole-of-government objectives
