Job Title:

Protector of Vulnerable Communities

This role is a pivotal position within the department, responsible for spearheading and guiding child protection practice.

The successful applicant will possess an in-depth understanding of cultural dynamics and demonstrate expertise in legislative, policy, and practice requirements relating to vulnerable children, families, and communities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Spearheading and articulating the department's stance at meetings and forums using a collaborative approach, focusing on client safety and well-being
  • Providing expert guidance on best practice principles and legislative requirements
  • Developing and implementing trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and responsive practice
  • Supporting the development of a cohesive and coordinated practice culture and mindset shift

The ideal candidate will be an experienced practitioner with strong leadership skills, able to work collaboratively with teams and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for vulnerable children and families.

A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel are essential requirements for this role.
