Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Echo Entertainment Group Full time

Help us establish and maintain overall property control, safety, and security while protecting our assets and maintaining gaming integrity. The Star has a duty of care to ensure that all our guests and team members have an exciting and safe experience, working in a carefully supervised environment.

The Surveillance Team plays a crucial role in this, meticulously watching over property-wide operations through our extensive state-of-the-art CCTV system. We are currently looking for Surveillance Trainee Operators to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. The successful candidates will be provided with 10 weeks of paid training to acquire the necessary licenses.

The role of a Surveillance Operator is incredibly diverse, as they may be actively monitoring live casino gaming to identify and intercept illegal or undesirable activity, or collaborating closely with floor staff and security personnel to coordinate an emergency response. If you have integrity, a calm demeanor, and a naturally questioning and curious mindset, then this role may be for you. Additionally, if you possess well-developed interpersonal skills and a cooperative approach, you will thrive in this small collaborative team environment.

What are we looking for?

  1. Availability to work a 24-hour rotating shift, including weekends and public holidays.
  2. Excellent keyboard typing proficiency and computer skills.
  3. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Casino gaming experience is preferred but not essential.
  5. Attention to detail with good focus and concentration ability.
  6. Professional phone manner.
  7. Ability to handle emergency situations in a timely and professional manner.
  8. Self-discipline and the ability to follow regimented procedures and learn new processes.
  9. Ability to work within a strong team environment.
  10. High level of personal integrity and the ability to work in an extremely restricted and confidential environment.
