Job SummaryThis is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced professional to contribute to the development and execution of AGL's renewable generation and battery storage growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Project Development: Assist Development Project Managers in taking projects through to the start of construction, developing AGL's portfolio of wind, battery, and pumped hydro projects in the National Electricity Market (NEM).
- Contract Negotiation: Support contract negotiations for construction and transmission connection.
- Risk Management: Identify, report, and manage key risks associated with projects.
- Project Implementation: Assist in developing and executing project implementation plans to deliver project outcomes within approved budgets and schedules.
- Commercial and Contractual Relationships: Assist in negotiating commercial and contractual relationships with contractors to ensure they adequately manage AGL's project risk.
- Permit and Licence Coordination: Coordinate internal and external resources to obtain all permits and licences needed for the construction and operation of power projects.
- Community Consultation: Assist in community consultation activities for development projects, including preparing presentations for community consultative committee meetings and meeting with key community stakeholders.
- Health, Safety, and Environment: Ensure all Health, Safety, and Environment systems and goals are introduced and adhered to.
- Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualification, preferably in both business and technical related fields such as Finance, Commerce, and Engineering.
- Technical and Commercial Skills: Strong technical and commercial skills.
- Industry Experience: Experience in the energy (or related) industry.
- Renewable Energy and Project Development: Understanding and appreciation of renewable energy and/or project development requirements.
- Project, Regulatory, and Risk Management Skills: Project, regulatory, and risk management skills.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Advanced communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
You will ideally have had some experience within renewable energy and/or battery storage project development which complements your further energy industry experience and understanding of the NEM. Most importantly, your outstanding business acumen, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills will set you up for success.
What We Offer- Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum.
