Job Opportunity: Credit Analyst

The role of a Credit Analyst is essential in the client's lending experience. The primary responsibility entails evaluating creditworthiness and assessing risk/borrowing capacity for potential residential clients.

The analyst will review financial data, credit reports, and perform comprehensive risk assessments to make informed decisions about extending credit. They will collaborate with stakeholders such as loan officers, underwriters, and clients to gather and analyse relevant information to support credit decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate creditworthiness by analysing financial statements, credit reports, tax returns, and other relevant documents.
  • Prepare and oversee credit submissions for new home loan and commercial loan applications.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to borrowers and respond to inquiries related to loan status and documentation.
  • Communicate with loan officers, assessors/underwriters, and other stakeholders to meet established timelines.
  • Ensure residential loan applications are complete and accurate, including loan application forms, property valuation reports, and other required documents.
  • Maintain and update loan files and databases to ensure accurate record-keeping.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 + years of experience as a Credit Analyst or similar role in the commercial and residential lending industry.
  • Previous experience in a mortgage broker's office is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Tertiary Education in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business.
