Maintenance Technician, Royal Randwick Tracks

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Royal Randwick racecourse. This permanent full-time position will be responsible for maintaining the course proper, training tracks and grounds ensuring they are presented in the best possible condition.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably in turf management, and possess general operational and mechanical maintenance skills. They will also have appropriate licenses to operate specialist machinery such as a manual vehicle, front end loader and forklifts (as applicable).
Key Responsibilities- Undertake general maintenance work including labouring, cleaning, tracks, gardens and maintenance instructions
- Operate plant equipment such as tractors, mowers, front end loader forklift, power sweepers, power harrows, brush cutters, hedgers, push mowers and general spray operations
The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge and practical experience of handling and spraying chemicals, and be comfortable providing training to junior team members.
