Lead Electrical Engineer

We're seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a senior member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of high-voltage electrical substations.

Your expertise in designing and implementing electrical systems, including extra-high voltage substations, synchronous condensers, and battery installations, will be essential in driving project success. You will work closely with clients, internal stakeholders, and external partners to define project goals, scope, interfaces, and develop project schedules.

  • Lead a team of engineers in the design and delivery of electrical substations.
  • Take ownership of preparing and delivering full scope of work for EHV substations, new build as well as extension of existing substations.
  • Maintain client relationships to support project delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with Clients, internal and external stakeholders to define project goals, project scope, interfaces, establish budgets and develop project schedules.
  • Participate actively in design reviews, risk assessments and quality control processes to ensure design excellence.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Power Engineering.
  • CPEng and/or RPEQ desirable.
  • Extensive proven experience in HV and EHV substation design.
