Role Description

This is an exceptional opportunity to become a key partner in advancing orthopaedic surgery through the application of cutting-edge robotic technology.

The successful candidate will be part of a high-performing, collaborative team focused on innovation and improving patient outcomes. This role involves supporting orthopaedic surgeons in the planning and execution of robotic-assisted hip and knee replacements using Stryker's Mako system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the in-theatre expert for Mako-assisted procedures, providing technical and clinical guidance to surgeons and theatre staff.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal use of the Mako robotic platform during joint replacement surgeries.
  • Conduct pre-operative CT-based planning and segmentation to assist in surgical case preparation.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge in orthopaedic surgical techniques, anatomy, and robotic technology.
  • Provide ongoing training and clinical support to hospital staff and surgical teams.
  • Travel across locations to support multiple sites.
Requirements
  • A strong clinical background and a passion for surgical innovation.
  • Experience in fields such as orthopaedic clinical support, biomedical science/engineering, medical device experience, operating theatre nursing/registered nursing experience, physiotherapy or allied health with surgical exposure, human movement or anatomy specialists with clinical experience.
  • Confidence in surgical/theatre settings.
  • Technical savvy with software and medical technology.
  • Ability to build trust with surgeons and hospital teams.
  • Adaptability, detail-orientation, and ability to perform under pressure.
