About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented professional to support our Collection Management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the movement of artworks between facilities and external sites
  • Prepare, pack/unpack, dispatch/receive, document, courier and supervise movement of artworks
  • Assist with processing new acquisitions to the collection, including coordinating packing, transport, documentation, receipting and processing works upon arrival
  • Support exhibition and outward loan activities, such as preparation of loan documentation and arranging courier travel
  • Liaise with lenders, dealers, auction houses, private collectors, artists, donors, vendors, freight forwarders, insurance companies and transport companies to ensure safe transportation of works of art

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge and skills in office administration, including appointment management, correspondence handling and file organisation
  • Ability to observe fine details, ensure accuracy and identify gaps in information
  • Relevant tertiary qualification would be an advantage
  • Experience in the use of Collection Management Systems is beneficial
  • Possession of a current driver's licence would be advantageous
