Job Title

We are seeking a seasoned leader to spearhead our mission in mathematics education across Western Australia.

Job Description

The successful candidate will lead our strategic direction, champion mathematics education, and deliver fresh services for our members.

The ideal candidate will have a background in secondary mathematics education, a growth mindset, and experience driving change in a school, system, or education organisation.

  • Shape and deliver the strategic direction of our program, partnerships, and member services.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, government bodies, and the wider education sector.
  • Lead and inspire a team to deliver innovative professional learning, events, and resources.
  • Manage and grow student activities, with a focus on coordinating, expanding, and teacher support of our Problem Solving Program.
  • Support our Board in maintaining compliance and upholding good governance.
  • Champion our reach, influence, and reputation across WA and nationally.
  • Drive membership growth and engagement through responsive offerings.
  • Oversee financial operations in partnership with the Board.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a school, system, or education organisation.
  • Excellent communication skills – in writing, speaking, and advocacy.
  • Understanding of how membership-based organisations operate, with experience in governance and working alongside boards or committees.
  • Passion for inclusive, engaging approaches to mathematics education.
  • Business acumen and strategic thinking to drive organisational growth.
  • Able to build and lead teams, and work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Genuine relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders.
  • Flexible and proactive, with a passion for making a real difference.
