Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead capital asset valuation engagements across Australia and internationally. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex projects, performing site inspections, reviewing and building valuation models, and mentoring junior team members.

About the Role
  • Lead large-scale capital asset valuation projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Conduct physical site inspections of plant and equipment as required, gathering relevant data and information.
  • Develop and review valuation models, considering market trends, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze market information on companies, industries, and transactions to identify key performance metrics and value drivers.
  • Prepare and review detailed valuation reports, outlining analysis, assumptions, and findings.
  • Deliver valuations for various purposes, including tax, accounting, and insurance, across the deal lifecycle.
  • Mentor and train junior team members, fostering their growth and development within the organization.
  • Support senior management in originating client work, assisting with proposal preparation, client interactions, and thought leadership materials.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Construction, Valuation, or a related field.
  • Member of a recognized professional association, such as the Australian Property Institute, American Society of Appraisers, or Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
  • Prior experience in plant & equipment / machinery / tangible asset valuations, preferably in a Big 4 consultancy or valuation firm.
  • Ability to travel for site inspections and client meetings.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, with experience in data analytics software like PowerBi an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Ambitious and results-driven individual, with a passion for continuous learning and self-improvement.
