This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Bushland Maintenance Assistant.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to assist with various tasks associated with bushland maintenance, community nurseries, and fire mitigation. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality services to the community by performing tasks such as regeneration, bushcare, and bushfire mitigation activities.

They will also maintain walking trails, fencing, gates, barriers, and signage, as well as perform work within the Community Nursery, including maintenance and repair of facilities, propagation of selected plants, and general nursery maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of bushland ecology and management principles, and will be able to develop and implement effective plans to manage and conserve bushland areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with bushland maintenance activities including regeneration, bushcare, and bushfire mitigation
  • Maintain walking trails, fencing, gates, barriers, and signage
  • Perform work within the Community Nursery, including maintenance and repair of facilities, propagation of selected plants, and general nursery maintenance
  • Develop and implement effective plans to manage and conserve bushland areas
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bushland Regeneration Certificate or equivalent qualification
  • NSW Class C Licence
  • Working with Children check or willingness to obtain
  • White Card - General Construction Induction Licence or willingness to obtain
