Maintenance Technician Role

This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of hotel equipment and facilities.

  • Achieving Excellence in Maintenance

The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in various categories including air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building.

About the Position:

  • Performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubricating tools and equipment
  • Responding to guest repair requests and communicating with guests/customers to resolve issues
  • Identifying, locating, and operating shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings
  • Maintaining maintenance inventory and requisitioning parts and supplies as needed
  • Communicating daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards
  • Displaying basic computer skills including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes
  • Using the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work
  • Performing repairs on interior and exterior landscaping as well as external landscaping sprinklers
