Job Overview

We are seeking Support Workers who share our passion for making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities.

  1. Provide personalized support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plans
  2. Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming
  3. Provide transportation assistance to clients
  4. Offer respite care to clients and their families
  5. Maintain accurate records of clients' care plans and progress
  6. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team
  7. Familiarize yourself with health and safety regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of clients
  8. Participate in regular meetings with clients and their families to review and adjust their NDIS plans as needed
  9. Deliver training and education to clients and their families on how to navigate the NDIS system
  10. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field
Requirements
  • A minimum of a high school or equivalent education
  • At least 1 year of experience working with people with disabilities
  • Experience with dementia is highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in CRM software and NDIS portals
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Ability to work with diverse clients, understanding their varying support needs based on their abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements
  • Basic care and first aid skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
