We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Career Pathway Facilitator to join our team on a full-time or part-time basis (3 full days or 5 days school hours) working across our Ipswich, Inala, and Goodna sites. The ideal candidate will have lived experience in parenting and a passion for supporting other parents and families.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing individualised guidance to parents, offering support and encouragement on various parenting challenges.
  • Assisting parents/carers to overcome barriers and empowering them with the skills to achieve their individual employment and/or educational goals.
  • Facilitating workshops and group sessions on topics relevant to parent challenges.
  • Developing and implementing engaging educational materials and resources.
  • Fostering a safe and supportive environment for parents to share experiences and learn from one another.
  • Collaborating with community organisations and resources to enhance program offerings.
  • Monitoring and evaluating program effectiveness, providing feedback for continuous improvement.

The Person:

  • Personal lived experience in parenting or family support, along with relevant professional experience (Employment service experience highly regarded).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse families.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others, particularly parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with community resources and support systems is a plus.
  • Able to meet targets while maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Understanding and respect for diverse backgrounds and perspectives, promoting inclusivity.
  • Precision in documentation and case management to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Proficient in Technology.
  • Completed or working towards a Certificate III or above in a related course in Society and Culture, Health, or Education; or
  • Tertiary level qualifications related to education, training, social services, counselling, case management, psychology, community services, careers guidance.
  • Current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain one.

On Offer:

  • An attractive salary package of approximately AU$65,000 - AU$80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
