We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Safety Advisor to join our Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) group at Energy Queensland. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in managing and delivering safety-related projects and initiatives to support business performance.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement safety strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, and implement controls to prevent accidents and incidents.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on health, safety, and environmental matters to management and employees.
- Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of employees in health, safety, and environmental matters.
- Relevant degree qualification in Health, Safety and Environment, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Strong working knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, Codes of Practice, and Australian Standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work autonomously and self-motivate, with a strong focus on results and continuous improvement.
- Experience in using HSE management systems and ability to leverage new technology to enhance safety performance.
