Service Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced Service Engineer to provide hands-on support and project work for Medical Imaging products. The successful candidate will be responsible for installation, diagnosis, repair, servicing, and scheduled preventive maintenance of our equipment.

The role involves conducting installations in accordance with customer requirements and specifications. This includes performing analytical diagnoses and repairs on affected products and ensuring relevant updates and patches are applied.

In addition, the Service Engineer will perform remote diagnostic procedures on customer sites, as well as conduct preventative maintenance as scheduled and in accordance with Agfa Radiology and OH&S Policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation of X-ray systems and other devices in accordance with customer requirements and specifications.
  • Analytical diagnosis and repair of equipment.
  • Remote diagnostic procedures on customer sites.
  • Preventative maintenance as scheduled and in accordance with policies.
Requirements:
  • Hold a tertiary qualification(s) in Electrical, Engineering or similar technical qualifications.
  • Proven experience in electro-mechanical service and repair work, preferably in Medical Imaging products.
  • Basic IT knowledge of Windows operating systems, PC repairs and installations, databases, networking, storage etc.
  • Familiarity with Medical Imaging standards such as DICOM and HL7.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
