Security Professional for Fortescue Port and Rail Operations

As a key player in this movement, we're seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join our team in Hedland Operations.
Our Opportunity
This exciting role is based at the Herb Elliott Port Facility (Anderson Point) and involves maintaining safe and lawful entry to site while restricting access to unauthorised personnel and equipment. As the first point of contact for visitors, you'll demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and diligence, working autonomously to ensure a seamless experience.
As an integral team member of the Health and Safety team and across Port and Rail operations, you'll contribute to a culture that values the health and safety of our working family, visitors, and the community. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain safe and lawful access to Fortescue Port and Rail operations
- Restrict access to site to any personnel not authorised by monitoring entry at the main gatehouse to Herb Elliott Port
- Operate the Gallagher - Electronic Access Control System (EACS)
- Conduct Fitness For Work testing - AOD testing
- Maintain site entry register
- Conduct searches of vehicles and personal belongings as required
- Ensure Site vehicle escort procedures are followed at all times
- Monitor site radio communications and take Emergency calls when required
- Monitor site Fire detection (AMPAC) system
- Working knowledge of the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act 2003 (MTOFSA) and Regulations 2003
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum Certificate II in Security Operations
- National Police clearance
- Previous experience in the mining and resource or marine sector, working as crowd control or security officer/guard
- Previous Security Gatehouse experience and/or maritime security would be highly desirable
- Western Australian 'C' Driver's License
- Collect Pathology Specimens Other Than Blood (Approved Drug Screening Officer) or equivalent
- Maritime Security Guard training (Desirable)
- Senior First Aid (Desirable)

Salary
The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately $80,000-$120,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
