About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Expert to join our team in Fortescue's Pilbara operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your expertise in fixed plant or heavy mobile fabrication to drive organisational success.
Work Location: Across all Fortescue Pilbara Operations
Roster: 7D7N7R OR 7D7N14R – FIFO ex Perth, Busselton, Broome, Karratha, Port Hedland, Fitzroy Crossing and Kununurra
This is a centralised advertisement for positions across all operational sites. You may receive notification that your application has been forwarded for review to a similar role. Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on large-scale mining equipment.
- Undertake general fabrication duties and repairs.
- Collaborate with the maintenance teams to achieve 100% schedule compliance.
- Maintain compliance with Fortescue and site-specific safety procedures and policies.
- Ensure all maintenance works are completed to a high standard.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Australian recognised Trade Certificate in Fabrication.
- Previous experience working on large scale mining equipment, in an operational environment.
- High level of safety awareness and orientation.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including both written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team.
- Experience using Microsoft programs and computer based maintenance systems (SAP desirable).
- Current C Class Drivers Licence.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated annual salary for this position is between $80,000 - $120,000 AUD depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive remuneration, Fortescue offers a range of benefits including professional development opportunities, recognition and reward programs, and access to modern facilities and equipment.
