Key Role: Quality Laboratory Technician

This is a highly specialized position within our laboratory team.

  • Manage chemical hygiene and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform complex analysis such as ICP, Titrations, IC, and diesel fuel tests to identify the cause of quality issues.
  • Validate test results, manage data uploads, and review for interpretation to provide accurate insights.
  • Assist in implementing new systems and instruments to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Identify process improvements and work towards solutions and implementation of change to drive excellence.
  • Prepare chemical solutions according to standard formulae to meet quality standards.
  • Check instrument calibrations/quality control tests to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with chemical hygiene and safety regulations to maintain a healthy work environment.
  • Manage quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality results.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in laboratory technician roles.
  • Degree in Sciences or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of complex testing/analysis techniques such as ICP, Titrations, IC, and diesel fuel tests.
  • Ability to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  • Proactive approach to contamination control and safety.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
  • Good research and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and understand test methods.
