Veterinary Laboratory Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to fill a Veterinary Laboratory Technician role in our veterinary team based near Nagambie, Victoria.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a fully equipped laboratory with advanced diagnostic equipment, including IDEXX hematology, chemistry, and blood gas machines.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating the lab, preparing and processing various veterinary samples to support timely and accurate diagnosis and treatment of equine patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluating faecal samples for parasitology purposes.
- Processing samples for bacterial identification and culture.
- Conducting haematology, biochemistry, and blood gas analysis on blood samples.
- Performing cytology on various sample types, including blood, transtracheal washes, and exudates.
- Preparing and processing all veterinary samples for analysis and documentation.
- Assisting with inventory management and maintaining accurate medical records.
You will collaborate closely with our veterinarians to deliver high-quality clinical care and contribute to our commitment to excellence in diagnostics.
