Job Overview

The Compliance and Risk Lead will play a pivotal role in implementing the Enterprise Risk Management Framework and Compliance Management Framework. This individual will ensure alignment with legislative obligations, strategic planning, and reporting requirements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Implement risk management frameworks and compliance strategies to mitigate potential threats to the organization.
  • Oversee internal audit workplans, complaints management, gifts and benefits registers, and compliance health checks to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop strategic plans to address non-compliance and high-risk matters, ensuring effective governance and accountability across the organization.
  • Provide expert advice, training, and coaching to managers and staff on governance excellence and accountability principles.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Commerce, Law, Business, Risk Management, Governance or related field.
  • Minimum five years' relevant experience in governance, compliance, risk, fraud or complaints management.
  • Minimum five years' leadership experience, with a proven track record of achieving results in complex environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret legislation and policies in complex compliance roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working in politically sensitive environments.
