The role of the Manager involves overseeing daily team operations, addressing client escalations, and ensuring high-quality client service delivery. This position is crucial in facilitating the effective administration of funds for clients in the Asset Management, Life, and Superannuation sectors.

The Manager is accountable for guaranteeing that all client deliverables are executed with precision and within the stipulated timelines as per Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This role serves as a key escalation point for any daily operational challenges that may arise. The Manager supervises a team of up to nine fund accounting professionals, taking charge of their performance evaluations, ongoing training, and career development.

The team is tasked with producing accurate client reports, which include:

  • Fund Unit Pricing
  • Regulatory and Statutory Reporting
  • Account Reports
  • Reconciliation Issues

Essential Knowledge:

  • Proficient understanding of Unit Pricing Calculations and Reporting
  • Tax Reporting Expertise
  • Distributions Calculations and Taxable Income Assessments
  • Integration of General Ledger with Investment Systems

Required Experience:

  • A minimum of six years of professional experience in fund accounting, unit pricing, and custody, with a solid grasp of the comprehensive service model of master custody.
  • Familiarity with financial market securities and a robust understanding of the fund products for which accounting services are provided.
  • Capability to deliver practical and commercial solutions to complex problems.
  • Experience in preparing Management Information Systems (MIS) and client reports punctually, adhering to legislative requirements and organizational risk and compliance policies.
  • Proven supervisory experience, demonstrating effective management skills, with the ability to investigate, resolve, or escalate issues as necessary.
