Financial Services Coordinator Role

We are seeking a highly skilled finance professional to join our team as a Financial Services Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality financial services and making a meaningful contribution to the organisation and community.

About the Role

This role provides the opportunity to work closely with a high-performing leadership team and contribute to the delivery of robust financial services across the organisation. You will lead and oversee a range of essential functions, ensuring the council's financial integrity and supporting effective decision-making.

  • General Financial Reporting
  • Asset Accounting
  • Statutory Reporting
  • Manage Inventory Systems
  • Oversee General Taxation Activities
  • Monitor Council Treasury

You will also be responsible for policy development and implementation, assisting internal and external auditors, and working closely with other teams to ensure the smooth operation of the council's financial services.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a similar finance role
  • Experience in financial reporting, forecasting, and preparation of financial statements
  • Knowledge of accounting standards
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of financial systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn, problem solve and contribute to a highly collaborative environment
