Job Title

We are seeking an experienced Fitter to join our team at a leading fresh produce packing company in North Queensland.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance, fabrication and general grounds work, with the ability to read technical drawings and manuals.

This is a hands-on role that includes:

  • Maintaining, repairing and improving machinery and equipment used in fresh produce packing
  • Performing scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks
  • Operating forklifts and assisting in operator training
  • Carrying out general site maintenance such as mowing, fencing and pest control

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a relevant trade
  • Relevant trade qualification
  • Skills in welding, fabrication and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
  • Forklift licence or willingness to obtain
  • QLD driver's licence or willingness to obtain
  • Chemical Accreditation or willingness to obtain
