We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our school welfare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of leadership, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build team capacity.
About the Role:- Lead a wellbeing team comprising a wellbeing nurse, school counsellor, school support officer, year advisors, and learning and support team
- Foster a caring school environment and promote student wellbeing
- Develop and implement wellbeing programs to support educational attainment and student engagement
The successful candidate will have knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and student welfare, as well as experience in planning and evaluating school-wide wellbeing initiatives. They will also have a strong understanding of how to develop and implement strategies to improve student attendance and behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement wellbeing programs to support educational attainment and student engagement
- Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that promotes student wellbeing
- Work closely with teachers, parents and carers to ensure students receive appropriate support and guidance
- Develop and maintain relationships with local community groups and services to access additional support and resources for students
- Ambitious and driven leader with a proven track record of improving student outcomes
- Strong knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare policies and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, students, parents and carers
- Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to the development of school-wide wellbeing initiatives
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
