About the Commonwealth Psychosocial Support (CPS) Program
The CPS program is a critical initiative aimed at providing time-limited support to eligible individuals who require assistance in building capacity and stability in various areas, including social skills, day-to-day living skills, financial management, housing, vocational skills, physical well-being, and broader life skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Delivery: Manage the tailored, recovery-focused psychosocial support provided to clients. Oversee assessments, goal-setting, and individual recovery plans.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance: Oversee program operations to meet CPS funding guidelines and organizational policies, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and risk management practices.
- Team Leadership and Development: Provide supervision, mentorship, and operational leadership to a dedicated team of Recovery Workers, fostering a positive and supportive work culture.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, community services, and external stakeholders. Advocate for client needs and service improvement.
Requirements:
- Qualifications and Certificates:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field.
- Current National Police Clearance Certificate (no older than six months)
- A valid First Aid and CPR Certificate (HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid, HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support, HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
- A current working with Children Check
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- A valid Driver's licence
- Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in mental health services, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Proven experience working with marginalized groups, including Aboriginal, CaLD, and LGBTIQ+ communities.
- Strong commitment to consumer-centred care and recovery-focused services.
- Experience in case management, service delivery, or program development.
