Mental Health Team Lead

Job Summary
About the RoleThe Mental Health Team Lead will be responsible for guiding a team of Recovery Workers to deliver high-quality psychosocial support to individuals living with severe mental health conditions who are ineligible for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). This role requires a strong leader who will ensure program compliance, monitor service delivery, and support recovery-focused approaches in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Recovery Workers to deliver tailored, recovery-focused psychosocial support to clients, including assessments, goal-setting, and individual recovery plans.
- Develop and implement program strategies to meet CPS funding guidelines and organizational policies, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and risk management practices.
- Foster a positive and supportive work culture among a dedicated team of Recovery Workers, providing supervision, mentorship, and operational leadership.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, community services, and external stakeholders, advocating for client needs and service improvement.

RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you will need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Current National Police Clearance Certificate (no older than six months)
- A valid First Aid and CPR Certificate (HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid, HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support, HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
- A current working with Children Check
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- A valid Driver's licence
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in mental health services, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Proven experience working with marginalized groups, including Aboriginal, CaLD, and LGBTIQ+ communities.
- Strong commitment to consumer-centred care and recovery-focused services.
