Job Title: Quarry Operations Manager

About the Role:

  • Lead and manage quarry operations to achieve annual financial targets.
  • Making business decisions that impact overall performance of the business, including achieving agreed targets / KPIs, financial planning, budgeting, and managing costs within budget.
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations, quarry development, storm water and environmental management, and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Focused on continuing our approach to rehabilitation and maintaining our reputation within the industry as a responsible and sustainable partner within the community.
  • Manage high risk activities and reduce risk exposure for self and others.

About You:

  • You have a safety mindset with a total commitment to risk management and Zero Harm.
  • A minimum of 5 years of Quarry Management experience in a hard rock quarry.
  • Hold relevant qualifications/notice to meet current requirements under the Mining & Quarrying Safety and Health Act 1999 (or able to obtain one by meeting the criteria).
  • Diploma in Extractive Industries or relevant tertiary qualifications (Mining, Geology, Engineering, Construction, or similar) and a Shot Firers ticket are desirable.
  • Ability to support continuous improvement across the Supply Chain process to establish good performance through insight and innovative planning.
  • Strong Leadership mentality with a demonstrated track record in delivering transformational change within a complex business environment.
  • Capability to deliver exceptional negotiation and influencing skills when interacting with varying levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • You are a team player who can multi-task and make quick effective decisions under pressure.
  • You have a positive presence in building strong and effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • You have a high level of resilience and adaptability to changing situations.
