Role Overview

As a key member of the Sustainability team, the Trainer Assessor will report to the Senior Training Advisor and will be instrumental in enhancing training and assessment processes for our underground operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage daily with underground personnel to conduct training sessions and competency evaluations.
  • Contribute to the integrity of training records, matrices, and needs assessments.
  • Prepare reports on activities and ensure timely completion of records.
  • Coordinate with the Senior Training Advisor regarding training requirements from external service providers.
  • Assist in managing training budgets and ensure compliance with regulatory procedures.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will either be a FIFO worker or a resident of the local area, available to work an 8:6 (12-hour day) roster.

To excel in this position, prior experience as a Trainer Assessor in underground mining operations is essential. The candidate should be adept at working independently, effectively planning and scheduling training programs and assessments.

Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and relationship building are crucial, with a firm commitment to fostering a 'Safety First' culture.

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience:

  • Formal qualifications or extensive experience in underground operations.
  • Cert IV Assessor (mandatory) or Cert IV TAE40116 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).
  • Western Australian Driver's License – Open Class.
  • Permits for Work, Working at Heights, and Confined Spaces.
