As a leader in grid connection, you will oversee the entire process for renewable energy projects.

This includes wind farms, solar farms, and hydroelectric facilities. Your technical expertise will be crucial in navigating regulatory requirements, optimizing grid connections, and ensuring successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electricity network infrastructure, grid codes, and connection requirements. A proven track record of delivering grid connection projects is essential.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills are necessary for engaging with stakeholders at all levels. You will also need to possess knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and industry practices governing grid connection in Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the grid connection process from inception to completion.
  • Develop strategies to secure grid connection agreements efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Liaise with network service providers, regulators, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of grid connection agreements.
  • Coordinate grid connection activities with internal project teams.
  • Monitor project timelines and milestones.
  • Provide technical expertise to resolve challenges.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Participate in grid connection-related consultations and hearings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in grid connection management.
  • Strong understanding of electricity network infrastructure.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering grid connection projects.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and industry practices.
