Key Role in Enterprise Data Governance

This is a pivotal position within the Chief Data Office, overseeing the data governance framework for the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority.

The successful candidate will play a key part in embedding enhanced enterprise data governance in alignment with APRA's multi-year Data Strategy. This involves defining, documenting and implementing data governance strategies, policies, standards and frameworks across the data lifecycle.

  • Embedding enhanced enterprise data governance in alignment with APRA's Data Strategy
  • Defining and implementing data governance strategies and policies
  • Providing expert guidance on data governance practices and partnering with cross-functional teams to embed data governance best practices

About you:

  • Proven experience in data governance, data management, data quality, data analysis and data risk management or data management projects within financial services or government agencies with complex data environments
  • Demonstrates initiative and operates as a self-starter, driving tasks and improvements independently
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to influence and support data governance initiatives

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of data risk management frameworks and APRA prudential requirements.
