
Chief Support Officer for Indigenous Education

This position offers the chance to support a senior academic leader in an Indigenous education role.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-level administrative and executive support, managing calendars, coordinating meetings, and handling correspondence and travel arrangements.
- Administer financial transactions and reconcile credit card accounts according to University policy.
- Draft professional documents and reports to ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Develop networks and collaborate with internal and external personnel, leading the academic administration function.
About You: The successful candidate will be required to provide evidence of their Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage. They should have experience providing executive assistance to senior staff, excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office, and the ability to draft professional correspondence.
Requirements- Maintain confidentiality and build positive relationships with colleagues.
- Show a demonstrated understanding of Indigenous protocols when working with respected Indigenous peoples, knowledge holders, and communities.
- Be able to set priorities, meet deadlines, and exercise sound judgment and discretion.
- Possess highly developed interpersonal skills, both written and oral, with the ability to consult, negotiate, and liaise effectively with diverse groups.
