About the Role

The University of New South Wales is seeking an exceptional academic to join our team as an Education Focused Lecturer in Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences. This is a unique opportunity for a dedicated educator to specialise in education and make a significant impact on the learning experience of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and direct the first-year biology program, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for students.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to engage students and promote academic excellence.
  • Conduct classes, assess student learning achievements, and provide support to students in undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses.
  • Lead or support the coordination of undergraduate courses on biotechnology, molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, microbiology, or related disciplines.
Requirements
  • A PhD in biotechnology, molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, microbiology, or a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.
  • Proven experience in teaching and learning design, development, and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
  • Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods.
  • Evidence of teaching quality, effectiveness, and passion for educational excellence.
