About Our Veterinary Nursing Position

  • We are seeking a skilled veterinary nurse to join our team and contribute to providing exceptional animal care.
  • You will be responsible for undertaking general nursing duties, including surgical and medical nursing, consult nursing, emergency and critical care, and pathology.
  • In addition to these responsibilities, you may be required to perform minor procedures when necessary.
  • Care for, handle and clean all animals within the practice, ensuring their comfort and well-being at all times.
  • Maintain the overall hygiene of the practice, including surgical areas and equipment, adhering to strict standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Assist with reception duties, including being the first point of contact for clients, handling client enquiries in person and over the phone, scheduling appointments, managing client accounts, admitting and discharging patients.

We are looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and promoting a positive work environment.

  • A minimum of 2+ years' experience as a veterinary nurse, preferably with a Cert IV qualification in Veterinary Nursing.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures, including surgical and medical nursing, consult nursing, emergency and critical care, and pathology.
  • Excellent animal handling skills, ensuring the safety and well-being of all animals in your care.
  • A calm and friendly presence, able to provide reassurance and comfort to anxious pets and their owners.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and provision of excellent client care.
  • Flexibility and adaptability within a team environment, demonstrating a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Familiarity with RX Works software would be an asset but is not essential.
