Job Title: Training Specialist
About the Role:We are seeking a skilled Training Specialist to support our Construction and Major Project Operations. The successful candidate will work closely with our Training Supervisor to ensure compliance with training processes and provide assistance to MinRes operations.
This role involves auditing training processes, planning and executing improvements on site, and traveling across all of our sites to encompass training and assessing activities. Regular site travel is required as part of an 8 / 6 roster arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:- Audit MinRes sites to ensure compliance to training requirements and develop action plans for rectifying findings.
- Embed the training framework on site and plan best course of action for process improvement.
- Build relationships with management teams to proactively address training needs and ensure training is factored into mobilisations, incident learnings, and implementation of new machinery, systems, and processes.
- Report on area compliance and improvements using lead/lag indicators.
- Establish and implement processes and systems for day-to-day operations of site-based Compliance Trainers.
- Provide subject matter expertise for INX - InTuition.
- Support Authorised Assessor and Compliance Trainer Pathway programs.
- Identify cost savings opportunities for internalising training requirements.
- Cert IV Training and Assessment (current).
- Diploma of Training highly desirable.
- Strong experience working in construction/major project environments.
- 5 or more years' experience in a Training role in the Resources Sector.
- Experience utilising Training Management Systems and Learning Management Systems, such as INX.
- Experience developing training packages to National Standards.
- Experience in auditing processes desirable.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage time effectively.
- Experience reviewing policies and procedures.
- Experience developing training packages and e-learning modules.
- Valid C Class drivers licence.
