Role Summary We are seeking a motivated and seasoned Plant Manager to become a vital part of our energetic team at MCC Label. In this position, you will be instrumental in promoting a culture centered on safety and operational excellence. Reporting directly to the Regional Operations Director, you will manage all facets of site operations, driving performance to meet business strategies and objectives. Your proficiency in lean management will be essential as you implement our lean framework and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives. With a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and cost efficiency, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and enhance overall performance. In this dynamic role, you will: Champion a zero-incident culture, ensuring a safe work environment and compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. Oversee overall site operations, aligning production performance standards with business strategies and plant objectives. Lead the implementation of the lean framework within the plant, fully supporting the Managing Daily Improvement (MDI) system and its components. Cultivate a diverse, high-performing operational team dedicated to achieving business improvement goals while prioritizing safety. Collaborate with various teams to streamline processes, reduce costs, enhance margins, and drive overall performance improvements. Maintain a rigorous focus on improving Safety, Quality, Cost & Delivery (SQCD) performance metrics, sharing best practices across the organization. Develop employee capabilities through effective hiring, training, and communication strategies for both management and front-line personnel. Manage costs through careful expenditure approvals, overtime management, and effective budget monitoring. Initiate and implement cost-saving strategies to enhance operational performance within the plant. Demonstrate leadership and promote best practices to improve productivity, conducting process confirmations to support a productive work environment. Communicate effectively across all organizational levels, working closely with labor unions to achieve overall company goals. Candidate Profile Proven experience in Operations/Lean Management, ideally within a manufacturing context, with responsibility for Cost Centre / P&L at the plant level. Demonstrated ability to lead change in complex transformational initiatives. Extensive experience in implementing lean principles in manufacturing operations. Track record of success in designing, implementing, and achieving KPI goals, including reducing supply chain costs and improving throughput. Strong business acumen and excellent communication skills.
