About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Substation Director to lead our energy project team in delivering major energy projects across Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with key clients to deliver complex energy projects, focusing on primary systems substation design and design review.
  • Lead and support engineers across large multidisciplinary energy projects, driving delivery and technical excellence.
  • Identify and lead innovation, seeking and implementing new approaches to enhance our ability to meet client needs.
Requirements
  • 10 years' experience in consulting on substation projects, with a proven understanding of primary substation systems (up to 500kV).
  • Familiarity with complex energy projects and substation design standards, including HV substation design, protection schemes, and primary plant technologies.
  • Proven background in partnering closely with clients to deliver remarkable projects.
  • Approachable leader with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Local market knowledge of the National Electricity Market (NEM) and a strong understanding of the energy market across Australia and/or New Zealand.
