Senior Road Design and Engineering Expert

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the design of urban and regional roads, airport facilities, construction staging, bridges, and car parks.

This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for delivering detailed designs, managing design processes, and working closely with clients and project teams to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Lead and deliver road, drainage, and pavement designs from concept through to detailed design
  • Manage design packages, ensuring compliance with TfNSW and relevant Australian standards
  • Oversee and coordinate multidisciplinary inputs including staging, bridges, and associated civil works
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and contractors to clarify requirements and resolve design issues
  • Undertake design management, QA processes, and coordination with drafters
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and drafters
About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity to lead our team in delivering innovative and buildable designs on time and within budget.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • 8–10+ years' experience in road and civil design, ideally with exposure to varied project scales
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D (or equivalent) for road, drainage, and pavement design
  • Strong understanding of TfNSW and local government standards
  • Experience managing design packages and coordinating multidisciplinary inputs
  • Excellent communication skills and client-facing capability
  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline
